I talked so much about Golden and its many opportunities for adventures. I did it as I was introducing myself, my blog, and my social media channels. These daring adventures women got caught on my Golden, Colorado post.

They wanted to know more, and I obliged. To say I was proud of myself as a travel journalist is an understatement.

Why travel to Golden? Check part 1 here and keep reading for the rest of my adventure.

Learning about minerals, crystals, and rock formations and see them in real life is fascinating. The museum has terrific specimens. Each of them has a descriptive caption. You will find gold, silver, gems, minerals, mining-artifacts, fossils, and a lot more.

Golden is home of Buffalo Bills’ grave.

Talking about history and cool stuff.  What do you know of the American scout, bison hunter, and showman Buffalo Bill?

Most of us had heard about Buffalo Bills.  As soon as I got in the museum and started reading and seeing all the historical displays, I realized how little I knew about that him. I am a history lover. My goal is not only to travel to the 50 states but to learn about America history. The museum has 4-5 rooms packed with history of the legacy of Buffalo Bill. My family and I learned much interesting information about him. Did you know he was a women’s rights advocate? He was also an avid traveler.  Several things that belonged to him are being displayed as well as original flyers of his company tours.

After going through the museum, we headed outside to look for his grave. It was a short hike, and the trail is surrounded by trees. Take the moment just to feel the breeze and contemplate the scenery. The view from Lookout mountain is specular. The peace you feel is worth the drive or the flight.

Next to him, his wife and daughter are buried. The graveyard has a fantastic view.

This stylish, modern, and artistry hotel is a good reason to go to Golden.

They came with a great idea; a camping tent for the kids in the bedroom! While the adults are having fun in the huge bed the kids are playing and minding their own business. Isn’t that the best idea ever?

My kids were in the tent and watching t.v. from there. The hotel is clean, beds are comfy, and it welcomes little ones as well as big ones.
