As a solo traveling woman who spends a good amount of time exploring, I understand that women have needs. Yes, I am talking about sexual needs. Let’s dig into women’s sexuality, which has much to do with travel. Women’s sexuality is not a subject that is often talked about, and when it is, it usually has a negative connotation or a lot of ignorant opinions and false information. So, let’s talk about female traveling and sexuality in Women’s History Month.
Let’s start from the beginning, yes, women like sex just like men. Plain and simple. It shouldn’t be a surprise for anyone. Society has taught us that women who admit liking sex is because they’ve suffered some kind of sexual abuse when they were little, have “daddy issues” (by the way, what a disgusting way to put it), are easy or “slut”, and are not wife material. The amount of ignorance is wild! Women like sex because, as men, we are sexual beings. Our bodies, specifically the genitals, are full of nerve endings that make us enjoy sex. In fact, the clitoris is the organ with the most nerve endings in the body. From a biological and physiological point of view, how can women not like sex?
The false information keeps piling up when women admit to wanting sex often. Women are supposed to want sex “only when ovulating,” or to please a man, or simply when their male partners have “done something nice for them.” I have news for you, many women like sex often. Those women are not sick, are slut or are not nymphomaniacs.
Women want it often because sex feels amazing. The amount of sex women want isn’t linked to their character, personality, or moral standards. It is simply a biological and physiological thing. Men who have a very busy sex life are praised by society. They are considered husband material and “macho men.” Well, many women want sex often like men do, although for too many people, it is hard to understand.
Women opening up to publicly admitting to liking and wanting sex makes me proud and happy. It has been such a taboo for so long that it has hurt women’s sexuality deeply. It has made women believe something must be wrong with them or feel embarrassed by their sexuality.
The time to own our sexuality has finally arrived, and the taboo is no longer a barrier for us to enjoy a happy and fulfilling sex life.
I remember years ago when the boom of female traveling started, some women (shyly) asked on Facebook pages for women travelers, what they did for sex during their travel, especially those who traveled for longer periods of time. At first, it was met with anger, “This isn’t the place for asking those questions.” Then, more and more women opened up to the idea that sex does belong in travel pages and forums.
We don’t stop feeling sexual desire when we are traveling; in fact, many women experience stronger sexual desire when traveling due to various reasons, one of them being that they are stress-free. They are women, individuals, who left the mom and wife roles behind at home. Therefore, they can focus solely on themselves and their pleasure.
Women differ in how they seek to meet their needs. Some enjoy a one-night stand with a stranger. However, it is simply not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s completely okay. While some women enjoy sex free of attachment while traveling, others are more reserved or are scared of potential danger. So what do we do? Life blesses whoever invented sex toys!
During those early days, women also asked about what to do to “hide” their sex toys when passing security. Once again, the embarrassment of being a sexual being!
Good news, Woo More Play is a company dedicated to sexual pleasure, especially for women. They created the clit vibrator with a discreet travel case. Ladies, this site is your best friend.
Woo More Play was founded by “Three best friends who grew up together and decided to flip the script on sex.” That’s what friends are for: to come up with amazing and, in this case, delicious ideas.
