San Diego: A Dreamy First Solo Travel

So here is why San Diego was my dream solo travel getaway:

Pacific beach is the iconic Southern California Beach town. This Latina chick got to walk its three miles in a tiny swimming suit, glasses, and my camera. Along the way, I stopped to sip a beer at the funky bars just right in front of the beach.

I am a food lover. I love trying new dishes. I mean, if you go to a different place you gotta immerse yourself in the local culture. San Diego style burritos were my favorite from all the dishes I ate. A huge flour tortilla with many, many shrimps, cheese, beans, rice, avocado.  This is the paradise on Earth, folks! Look at that view. That was my view whenever I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I walked less than 3 minutes from my hostel to drink a beer at some of the many bars along the boardwalk. Then went back to lay on the couch at the hostel deck. I wanted to try as many bars as possible, and the one that stole my heart and made my wallet happy  was the Lahaina Beach House.  The deck gets crowded and loud. Everybody gets busy having a good time. Beer is cheap compared to prices at other bars and restaurants in the area. But definitely what makes Lahaina Beach House being part of my “I want to drink here forever” list, is the view from the deck.

Budlight+sun+bikini+this breathtaking view=awesomeness!

Nightlife in San Diego is endless with so many choices.  There are these buses that pick you up at your hotel and take you to a nightclub. The bus itself is so much fun.  It doesn’t matter if you are solo you will be drag into the fun and have a great time.  The same bus takes you to your hotel when the nightclub closes around 2.

I am very proud of myself. My first solo travel was a success! I am addicted to wanderlust, to the wild adventurer spirit that runs wild at the beach, to the Francia I see in the mirror while traveling. Solo travel is so liberating. I am not going back to my “normal” life. From now on, I will collect moments, travels, trips, and adventures.

Have you ever wanted to solo travel? What destinations are in your bucket list? Show me some pictures of your travels!

Check my adventure in an Ice Castle! I felt like Elsa from Frozen.
