Newborn Photography is beautiful and challenging.

As if we had planned it, my sister and I got pregnant as well as my three sisters in law. The first baby was born on December, and the rest will be born this year. My mom and dad are going crazy of happiness with all the grandsons coming into the family. Yes! You heard right. From the five of us only one had a baby girl the others babies are boys.

What a convenient time to learn and practice newborn photography, don’t you think?

Newborn Photography I have learned so much from the class Pregnancy and Newborn Photography with Ana Brandt. I recommend it. By the way, CreativeLive has tons of awesome courses. You should check it out.

Once I felt comfortable with my new photography skills I jumped on Amazon to look for newborns photography props. Guys, I felt in heaven with all the cute stuff they have.

I have worked with models and grown-ups in the past. It was all make-up, glamor, fashion, music and people trying to do their best at modeling. But working with newborns is entirely different. The whole atmosphere is so tender, peaceful and quiet. These little humans steal your heart. It can be very messy too and take longer than planned. Be ready to stop because the subject pooped or because he wants to nurse.

Take advantage and check your settings, lighting, props or just have a little rest.

These two little models are the two babies born out of the five. Next is my turn, then my sister in law who is due on July 11 and my birthday is on July 12. No secretly hoping he gets born on my birthday. The last one will born on October. I will make sure to have a photo shoot wit the 5.

Please, tell me what do you think of my newborn photography so far?

Don’t be shy. Leave a comment.
